Children's Ministry

  • First Steps

    Leader: Nancy Nelson seeline13@gmail.com

First Steps is available during the 9:30 worship service. It is our weekly environment created especially for your infant through 3-year-old. We can't wait to meet them! We know things are busy at this stage of life, and your children are learning and growing in amazing ways. We are ready for them!

We believe in a hands-on approach to learning with preschool children. Each week we have play time, Bible lesson, snack time, and a time of worship and singing.

We look forward to helping your preschooler learn more about God, including learning to:

    Love God

    Love His Word

    Love each other

  • Children's Sunday School

    Leader: Michelle Aguiar michelle.aguiar@gordon.edu

Our 1st-5th grade class meets in Cedar Hall, and we are studying the Bible chronologically. Each Sunday a Bibleteller tells us the biblical story, and then we rotate through three different activities to help us re-tell the story and answer "Wonder Questions" that help us think about the story's truth, our God, and how we might live out the principles of the story in our own lives. The activities help us engage in the story and address the many different ways in which we learn.

  • Christian Early Learning Center

    Director: Tracey Brown weecare@fullchannel.net

Wee Care is a Christian child care and learning center operating on the first floor of Barrington Baptist Church. Guided by the principles of developmentally appropriate practice, the Creative Curriculum, and the Rhode Island Early Learning Standards, Wee Care serves children from infancy through grade three in school-day, after-school, and summer camp programs.

Wee Care seeks to treat each child with the love and nurture they need, while being an example of the love that God shows to us. Through songs, Bible stories, and attention to individual needs, the Wee Care staff desire to be a light in the lives of the children, as well as to stimulate a love for others within each child.
